Decarbonization

VRF Enabled Technology

Combines the flexibility of Envent’s custom options with high performance Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology—creating a fully integrated, factory-tested HVAC solution designed for energy codes and decarbonized building strategies.

  • Take Advantage of VRF Operational Efficiency

    • VRF operates with inverter technology at a high COP (Coefficient of Performance – power in vs power out) to modulate effectively to achieve desired conditions.

  • Reduced Auxiliary Heat Operation

    • VRF system continues to operate efficiently in heating down to -22F, so the use of supplemental heat is limited to extreme conditions only—significantly reducing energy usage and peak electrical demand.

  • Factory Packaged and Tested

    • Envent factory mounts all the controls, refrigerant circuits, and VRF condensing units. Prior to leaving the factory the whole assembly is performance tested to ensure operational specifications are achieved.

  • Single-Point Power Connection, Single Crane Lift, Single Packaged Unit

    • Delivered fully assembled, the VRF enabled air handler requires just one lift and minimal field labor. No separate components, no field integration, no field refrigerant piping. The entire system—VRF condensing units, controls, and Envent air handler—is powered through a single electrical connection, reducing labor costs and installation time.

IAQ Unit Scrubbers

Leverage ASHRAE 62.1 compliant indoor air cleaning technologies fully integrated into the Envent air handler. Reduce outdoor air requirements enabling smaller heating and cooling systems, while maintaining superior indoor air quality.

  • Engineered for ASHRAE 62.1 Compliance

    • Incorporate air cleaning products rated to ASHRAE Standard 52.2 (particulate filtration) and ASHRAE Standard 145.2 (gas-phase filtration) to enable the use of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Procedure outlined in ASHRAE 62.1. This approach leverages advanced air cleaning technologies to actively target and remove specific contaminants identified by ASHRAE, rather than relying solely on outdoor air dilution.

By focusing on filtration over dilution, this method delivers superior indoor air quality, enhanced   energy efficiency, and greater control over occupant health and comfort.

  • Reduce Outdoor Air, Lower Energy Use

    • Conditioning outdoor air is one of the most energy-intensive aspects of HVAC design. By incorporating ASHRAE 62.1 compliant air cleaners, we can significantly reduce the volume of required outdoor air—lowering both heating and cooling loads.

This results in substantial capital cost savings through smaller HVAC equipment and long-term operational savings from reduced energy consumption. At the same time, these technologies maintain a healthy and comfortable indoor environment by effectively removing airborne contaminants, allowing for superior indoor air quality with far less reliance on ventilation air.
